Types of Clouds
I can’t take credit for putting this together, it was a Power Point Presentation. All I did was take out the cheesy clip art and put it into a more presentable package. It has useful information and images of clouds and the different types. I think its important information to know if your a photographer.
Want to protect your images
One of the inevitable’s of life on the internet is it’s near impossible to stop someone from taking an image for use. As a photographer, I have been trained to post low resolution images which never lets me show the image as I want to.
My images published
Just wanted to post a small list of books I have been a part of. I haven’t submitted in quite a number of years to be part of a books. I am working with a few other photographers to create a little book which I hope to be out before years end. I will post more details as they are made available.

The books are nice for people starting out, they contain good information and lots of nice images. I saw one of the books at a local camera store a number of months ago, I though it was cool and decided to look for mine.
I have a few copies, I think 2 of each and a couple magazines I have been in, if anyone is interested I can send one signed to you for a small cost.
The Photographer’s Ephemeris
Ephemeris, by definition means a table showing the positions of a heavenly body on a number of dates in a regular sequence. I have used many programs and apps that do this in one way another. The desktop program and iPhone iPhone & iPod app goes a little further. It’s called The Photographers Ephemeris. It let’s you find locations using google (so if you can find it on google maps you can find it hear)
When you setup your locations you can click on one and it shows 4 lines sunrise/sunset and moonrise/moonset. Their also is a bevy of options, from the angle of the sun/moon to allowing you to move the time/date to scout locations based on where the sun may or may not be.
The desktop version uses Adobe Air and is free to download from here, you can download Adobe Air with the link from the site or http://adobe.com/products/air
The iPhone/iPod app is $8.99 and can be seen iTunes
Learning for the creative
CreativeLive.com is a site where you ca learn just about anything from Photoshop to developing a vision to Adobe Flash and Dreamweaver. The online video classes are free, but you have to attend the time they specify. If you miss, you can purchase the class to watch it anytime. Last month I attended a 3 week class (every Tuesday) with Art Wolfe, it was very informative and fun, I didn’t take enough notes to blog about it. I learned a lot during the 3 classes that were 2 hours long.
The next photographer taught class is tentatively scheduled in August, so go sign up now. http://creativelive.com its free so even if you miss you don’t lose out just on potentially valuable information.
